Empowering Cross-Border Collaboration, Innovation, Projects, Talents & Start-Ups in the Hydrogen Economy
We as TECH.LAND are shaping the future of sustainable innovation by fostering a dynamic ecosystem for Cross-Border Collaboration, Innovation, Projects, Talents & Start-Ups . The Programme is focusing on four topics, namely Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics (including digitisation, cyber security and artificial intelligence), Energy (batteries and hydrogen), Health & MedTech and Circular Economy.
TECH.LAND integrates economic and scientific expertise across borders, forming a unified region at the heart of Europe. By fostering strong partnerships, we create new business opportunities, projects, and groundbreaking ideas also in the hydrogen sector.
Skilled Professionals
As a thriving European region, TECH.LAND attracts top international talent. We provide access to cutting-edge companies and projects, offering compelling reasons for professionals to stay or relocate. With English-language resources and a welcoming business environment, we support the workforce needed for a green hydrogen future.
In close collaboration with leading universities and applied sciences institutions—such as University of Applied Sciences Münster, University of Münster, University of Twente, Hogeschool Saxion and more —we foster strong connections between academia and industry. This ensures that research, innovation, and business needs align, creating a seamless talent pipeline for the hydrogen sector.
European Funding & Investment Opportunities
With around €450 million in European funding available for cross-border collaboration, TECH.LAND connects businesses, research institutions, and policymakers to maximize these opportunities. Working closely togehter, we enable strategic investments and cooperative projects that accelerate hydrogen innovation.
H2EART – Powering the Future of Hydrogen
The region is setting its sights on the next big step in hydrogen innovation: H2EART – a groundbreaking Hydrogen Valley. This ambitious initiative aims to establish a thriving international hydrogen economy by 2031, seamlessly connecting industries and infrastructure across the Netherlands and Germany.
H2EART is more than just a project—it’s a vision for a sustainable, cross-border hydrogen ecosystem. By fostering synergies, pioneering cutting-edge solutions, and scaling up hydrogen infrastructure, H2EART will transform the region into a fully integrated and self-sustaining hydrogen powerhouse.
With a potential funding boost of €20 million, complemented by an additional €100 million in investment, H2EART is poised to accelerate the hydrogen revolution—driving innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.
Cross-Border Startup Ecosystem
Our network has successfully linked startup ecosystems on both sides of the border. Events like the Digital Summit Euregio and ENSCHEDE SLUSH (The Enschede Slush is organized by our Partners Novel-T, together with the REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center from Münster) bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders, creating fertile ground for hydrogen-focused startups to thrive.
