About us
The Helmholtz Cluster Wasserstoff (HC-H2) is a long-term, large-scale research and innovation cluster supporting the structural change in the Rhenish mining area and creating a sustainable energy region. The Institute for a Sustainable Hydrogen Economy (INW) is the core of HC-H2 and anchored at Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) developing innovative hydrogen technologies in the areas of storage, logistics, and utilization. HC-H2’s activities encompass the key technological elements of a future hydrogen economy. It aims to become a scientific and technological beacon, helping to create new economic power and jobs in the Rhenish mining area through large-scale demonstration projects.
